And if it’s not Brexit, it’s the cost of living crisis, the awful weather, or the manner in which supermarkets push farmers to new lows.

Our farming sector faces considerable challenges and those are important to us all.

We live in an area where farming surrounds the West Midlands conurbation, covering vast swathes of land across Staffordshire, Shropshire, mid Wales and the hinterland.

Farming not only provides important employment, it also generates money that is recycled through the local economy, it provides a means of looking after the rural environment and it offers a degree of food security.
