Bridgnorth Town today pulled off a major coup – naming former Wolves defender Mark Clyde as their new manager.
Former Northern Ireland international Clyde, 28, replaces Lee Mills – who resigned last month and has now teamed up with Matt Burton at Bridgnorth's Midland Alliance rivals Ellesmere Rangers.
The ex-Molineux man's professional career was cut short by injury in 2007 but he made a comeback with non-League Worcester City two years later and was player-coach under boss Carl Heeley last season.
"Mark's vision fits in perfectly with our own and we are hopeful of forming a successful partnership," said club secretary Zoe Griffiths.
