Under-17's shine at AFC Telford as England Lionesses beat Wales - match pictures
England came to the home of AFC Telford United and put five past Wales as they prepare to open the UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship at the New Bucks Head.
The Three Lionesses were ahead within 120 seconds through Chloe Kelly and added goals through Sarah Mayling and two from captain Leah Williamson, either side of Jenna Legg's penalty.
Arsenal's Kelly broke the deadlock in the second minute, guiding the ball into the bottom corner with a neat finish past under-fire Wales goalkeeper Charlotte Edmunds.
She was left picking the ball out of her net again just 14 minutes later, as Aston Villa's Sarah Mayling was set up by Arsenal duo Williamson and Evie Clarke.
It was no surprise when England netted again after 27 minutes, as Williamson rose perfectly to meet Mayling's corner.
A fourth arrived soon into the second-half, with Chelsea's Legg converting from the spot after she was felled inside the box.
England weren't finished, though, and Williamson netted another header late on.
Lois Fidler's side open their Championship challenge at Telford, as the host nation on Tuesday, November 26 against Italy.
