Brimfield and Little Hereford Social Club was the venue as the club celebrated a year of success.

The club was formed in 1950 and initially supported motorcycle events before changing its focus to motor cars in 1965, as they become more common and affordable.

Since then, Ludlow have forged an impressive reputation with drivers tasting success at every level of UK rallying.

About 75 members gathered for the evening to celebrate 2015's achievements, both within the club and in external events.

Ludlow drivers claimed more than 10 national titles including ANCRO, BTRDA, Welsh National and Heart of England Championships, as well as more than 50 national level rallies.

Phil Clarke, media officer for the club, said: "The awards are given out to people who have won club events, mainly.

"It can be such as rallies, car trials, auto tests where drivers have to do a course around cones and navigational scatters, which are like 12-car rallies.

"We have lots of these events through the year and if you win one, the likelihood is you will get an award at the presentation dinner.

"There are other awards for things like best driver and and co-driver, generally for members who have been competing outside of the club.

"We have members who go all over the country taking part in events.

"We also have prizes for people who have contributed most to the club, and a worst luck of the year 'down the pan' trophy, which is a toilet handle on a chain.

"The prize dinner is something we all look forward to. It went excellently – a good time was had by all."
