AFC Telford United have completed the signing of trialist winger David McDermott – and he could make his debut in a friendly tomorrow.
McDermott has signed on non-contract terms, having been on trial since being released by York City at the start of January.
He would have been eligible to play in Saturday's scheduled home clash with Forest Green Rovers – but with that game being called off along with tomorrow's match against Kidderminster, the Bucks are now hoping to stage a friendly against League opposition.
"David has been on trial with us for a while and has now signed on non-contract terms," chairman Lee Carter confirmed. "He will wear squad No 24.
"Our squad is now stabilised at 22 or 23 and we're quite happy with that."
Manager Andy Sinton added: "He's looked sharp in training and he's done well.
"He played a part for York last season and he's got decent pedigree. He can play wide on the left or the right and we're happy to have him."
Carter admits that losing Saturday's game had significant revenue implications for the Bucks.
And the situation has been made worse by the postponement of tomorrow's game - which has been called off as Kidderminster's re-arranged FA Trophy clash with Luton takes precedence.
The Bucks have moved quickly to set up a potential friendly against a League Two club, though that is dependent on the New Bucks Head - currently under snow - being playable.
"To lose these two games has a significant impact on the football club, just as it would on any business that loses two big pieces of cashflow into the business in the space of four days," said Carter.
"With that in mind we'd like to put on a game tomorrow and reduce the admission prices.
"It would help us financially and allow us to bed in a couple of our newer players, but it all depends on the pitch."
