AFC Telford United manager Andy Sinton is looking to spring a surprise tomorrow and upset a side he calls "the Manchester City of our league".

Blue Square Bet Premier leaders and big-spenders Fleetwood Town visit the New Bucks Head on the back of a 23-game unbeaten league run stretching back to October.

But Sinton insists the Bucks can be the side that ends that statistic, while giving their own survival hopes a massive fillip in the process.

"Their run has to come to an end sooner or later so why not here?" said the Telford chief.

"They're the Man City of our league, they tick all the boxes. We'll have to be at our best and they're going to have to be below theirs.

"But they're going into the run-in and everyone outside of my dressing room will think it's an easy three points and that can do strange things to people."

Sinton does admit to a hint of jealousy when casting an eye at Fleetwood's strength in depth, and tips them to be playing League football next season.

"They can almost play two teams," said the Bucks boss. "I think they'll win the league because one, they've got good players, two they've got a good manager and three they've got resources.

"If they need anyone in the next month or so they can go out and get far better players than some League teams could get.

"I am led to believe they turned down the best part of £1m for striker Jamie Vardy until they get promoted. They've got Richard Brodie, who a couple of years ago was worth a lot of money.

"I could go through the team listing the good players but if I do that you start to get a bit glossy eyed.

"But we won't sit back, we'll give Fleetwood massive respect but we'll get on the front foot and have a real go."

Telford will be without injured captain Shane Killock while Jon Adams, Carl Rodgers, Steve Jones and Adam Proudlock are all sidelined. Defender Ryan Valentine completes the final game of his three-match suspension.

Fleetwood midfielder Jamie Milligan misses out with a back injury while defender Paul Edwards has gone on loan to Barrow.
