AFC Telford have been urged to build from the back as they plot an important victory in their Conference Premier survival mission tonight.

Boss Liam Watson believes a maiden clean sheet is the key to success against Altrincham on home soil.

The bottom-of-the-table Bucks have the worst defensive record in the league, having failed to shut out their opposition in 18 attempts.

But up top, Telford have one of the best goal-scoring records in the bottom half of the table.

Watson said: "We are looking a lot stronger defensively now and if we can keep a clean sheet we have always got a goal in us.

"It is very rare we don't score but very rare that we keep a clean sheet. That has been our Achilles heel up until now.

"But we'll go into tonight's game with a real opportunity to keep another clean sheet, and, if we do, I am sure we will get three points."

The Robins visit the New Bucks Head in 17th spot, four places above the drop-zone.

Telford are eight points from safety, at the foot of the table.

"They seem to have picked up one or two good wins but when the team sheet comes in we know we are as strong as them.

Meanwhile, The Bucks have agreed a one-month extension to their loan of Luton Town defender Andy Parry, who is set start this evening.
