Steve Kittrick set to shake things up at Telford
Steve Kittrick has vowed to shake-up AFC Telford's pre-match routine in a bid to end their dreadful home form.
The Bucks go into Saturday's game at Woking searching for their first league win in front of their own fans for more than four months.
Kittrick believes the home troubles are now psychological and so is planning to change tack for the visit of the Cards.
"I think it is a mental thing for the players so we are going to do things a bit differently," he said.
"We are going to come in a bit earlier, have a bite to eat and see if we can develop some of the team spirit we seem to have in the away games for the home games.
"Sometimes I think the players feel under pressure playing at home.
"There have been a few boos, which the fans are totally entitled to do.
"But I think the players are acutely aware of how poor some of the results have been and we have to find a way around that.
"If we can get a home win, it makes the outlook very different."
Kittrick, who hopes to secure the signing of a new striker today, is refusing to admit defeat in Telford's survival bid despite Tuesday's defeat at Macclesfield leaving them 11 points adrift of safety with just 27 points still available.
"It isn't over until it's over," he said. "We have to look at it that way.
"We can't start building for next season until we know what division we are going to be in.
"Obviously if we lose the next six games it will be pretty clear.
"I think the fans who were at Macclesfield saw a team who are still fighting and have not given up.
"We clearly have the ability to stay in games but it is taking our chances we have to work on.
"We have played the top six teams and given them a good game on each occasion but we've got to become more consistent.
"If we could get a win on Saturday things might start to look different."
