Luca Havern desperate for AFC Telford win over former club Altrincham
AFC Telford United skipper Luca Havern is aiming for 'nothing but the three points' as he heads to former club Altrincham.
The Bucks go into the clash with the Robins on the back of a 1-0 win against FC United of Manchester last weekend.
Havern, who missed that game through suspension, spent four years with Alty and enjoyed a promotion to the National League in the 2013/14 season via the play-offs.
On returning to Moss Lane for the first time since leaving the outfit at the end of last season, Havern said: "It's always nice to go back to an old club.
"This time around it's different going there though, as I am with Telford and the aim is to come away from the game with nothing but the three points.
"It's a local one for myself and I still have a few friends down there. But the focus is on going there and picking up another win."
In the absence of Havern last weekend, the returning Paul McCone played alongside Ben Bailey in central defence and was one of the side's stand-out performers.
Havern will hope to reclaim his place but Bailey, McCone and Dan Preston have all impressed so far this term.
"There is good competition for places and it is healthy competition as well between all four of us, we are all working hard and pushing each other," added Havern.
"It's very rare to have four centre-halves at one club at this level but we are all eager and ready to be called upon.
"It was great to see Macca come back in last weekend and play well as everyone knows how hard he has worked.
"I was watching from the side and it wasn't the greatest of games but we got the result, and that is what we need to do."
"Obviously with what has been happening off the pitch, the lads needed to show how much it meant and they did."
On how he is feeling going into the clash, Havern added: "I am feeling good, we have had some good sessions this week.
"There is a great togetherness in the squad and the sessions put on for us this week have been first class, so credit to Rob Smith and Larry Chambers for that."
