Table-topping United enjoyed a 5-1 home win over Ellesmere Rangers courtesy of goals from Stuart Ellis (2), Lester Alderson, Tom Rogers and Marc Stallard.

But Mark Clyde's Bridgnorth side are refusing to give up the fight and gained an impressive 3-1 win at third-placed Haughmond.

Jason Pike put the visitors ahead and Tom Grainger doubled the advantage.

Haughmond pulled one back to set up a tense finale but a late third sealed the points.

The results leave Dave Richards's Shawbury outfit four points clear with two games to go.

United make the short trip to Haughmond on Saturday, while Bridgnorth will look to keep the pressure up with a win at Bewdley Town.

Wellington Amateurs earned a crucial 1-0 home victory over Willenhall Town in their battle to avoid relegation.
