Shrewsbury Town's out-of-contract players were today facing D-day on their Greenhous Meadow futures.

In the wake of Friday's deflating play-off exit at the hands of Torquay, manager Graham Turner was holding an end-of-season debrief with his squad.

And it was expected that the Town boss will also stage talks with his out-of-contract players as he begins preparations for next season.

Among those waiting to hear if they will be offered fresh terms for next season were right back David Raven, midfield trio Craig Disley, Kevin McIntyre and Steve Leslie, and winger Jon Taylor.

Meanwhile, Town pantomime villain Jake Robinson - who is also out of contract the end of the season - has insisted he took no satisfaction from knocking his parent club out of the League Two play-offs.

The forward was part of the Gulls team who wrapped up a 2-0 aggregate semi-final victory over Town on Friday and is now looking ahead to the Old Trafford play-off final against Stevenage.

But the 24-year-old, who scored nine goals for Town prior to his loan switch in January, said the win was one of contrasting emotions.

"I was pleased with the result but disappointed for the Shrewsbury lads," said Robinson.

"I spoke to them after and they were all gutted, but they wished us all well and said we deserved it over the two legs.

"I've had to be ultra professional to get through the two games as a Torquay player.

"It wasn't a pleasant experience playing and I didn't enjoy it."

As for his future, Robinson - who is out of contract at Town in the summer - will wait until after Saturday before reaching any decisions.

"My future is on hold and I will think about it after the final," he added.

"These last two weeks have been the biggest games of my career so far and now next week becomes the biggest game in my career.

"It's exciting times for me at the moment and I'm certainly looking forward to it."
