Teenage striker Tom Bradshaw believes his Wales under-21 commitments can actually help his Shrewsbury Town career rather than hinder it, as the frontman prepares for a trip to Armenia next week.
Bradshaw is expected to start for the Welsh in their Euro 2013 qualifing clash with the group three leaders in Yerevan on Tuesday (2pm).
And the former Aberwystwyth man, who has found the net once for Shrewsbury so far this term, believes impressing Town boss Graham Turner while away on international duty could increase his chances of earning a regular starting spot.
"I managed to get back into the Shrewsbury team after performing well for Wales last time," said Bradhshaw, "and when I got back in I nicked a goal against Accrington.
"It is hard for any player to get into form playing a couple of games here and there. What I want to do is get a regular role and play a few games in a row and do what all strikers want to do, score goals."
