Any lingering hopes that the defender's contract talks could be revived are over and the Town boss stressed he is no longer a registered player at the Greenhous Meadow.

Grandision had stalled on the offer of a one-year deal although he would not be fit to resume playing until the end of the year after having double hip surgery.

"I think Jermaine has now departed and that is it, unfortunately," said Turner.

The 22-year-old has still been offered the use of the club's medical expertise to help his rehabilitation, but will now be looking for a new club. He made 91 appearances in a three-season stay.

"Jermaine has done well for the club, but I think the club has done well for him," added Turner. "But it won't be the first time and it won't be the last that we've seen favourites depart."

Meanwhile, Shrewsbury were due to unveil their new home strip at today's friendly against Turkish giants Galatasaray.
