Greenhous ends sponsorship of Shrewsbury Town
Car dealership Greenhous has announced it is to end its shirt and stadium sponsorship deal with Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
The firm, which has been associated with the club for more than 40 years, became shirt sponsors once again in the 2007/08 season.
The club's Oteley Road stadium was renamed the Greenhous Meadow in May 2010 when the firm, which now operates from Bristol to Scotland, took on the ground's naming rights.
Today, chairman Roland Wycherley said the club was thankful for the early notice which allows the club to search for new commercial partnerships.
Greenhous is reviewing their business as a whole and the current sponsorship deals are part of the review.
Mr Wycherley said: "We have been associated with Greenhous for many years and have been proud to see their growth as a company. During that time we have both gone through a lot together and I would like to thank Greenhous for their support over the years.
"Greenhous have continued to expand their business around the country while Shrewsbury Town, since 2007, have enjoyed two promotions, four seasons in Sky Bet League One and several high profile cup games that have helped promote the Shrewsbury Town and Greenhous brand names around the world.
"We now look forward to forming new partnerships which I hope will be as long term and successful as the one we have had with Greenhous."
Greenhous joint chief executive Derek Passant said the company wished the club success on and off the pitch.
