Manufacturer secures new premises
A family-owned Black Country business has secured new funding to purchase an additional unit to accommodate the growing business.
Surface Finishing Engineering (SFE), which is based in Wolverhampton, has received funding from Barclays to purchase the 11,000 square foot unit next door to the company's existing premises on Webner industrial estate.
The company specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of surface treatment process plant and fume extraction equipment for both domestic and international clients.
The business was established in 1994 from a small unit in Wolverhampton which they outgrew and moved to the Webner industrial estate in 2012
The company has a customer base primarily in the aerospace, defence and automotive industries and can boast clients such as Rolls Royce, Chromalloy and GE Aviation Systems.
Today the business employs 15 staff, highly skilled in the areas of engineering these specialist products – a figure that is likely to increase as the business continues to see an increase in demand for its products.
Kirpal Delveir, managing director at Surface Finishing Engineering, said: "We are definitely seeing an upturn in business confidence which is translating into significant new orders.
"My son Vic has also joined the company as our business development director and has been working hard to secure new clients. The new unit will enable us to fulfil new orders and stand us in good stead for future growth.
Manoj Patel, relationship director at Barclays said: "Kirpal has rapidly grown the business since its inception in 1994.
"I am delighted we have been able to assist him with the commercial mortgage to purchase the new unit along with an increased working capital facility to assist the company with their growth."
