Des Morrison has taken the reins at TTC Group. He has moved into the role from the position of operations director with the Telford firm, a leading road safety education organisation.

The company has achieved high growth in recent years, expanding its range of education services for motorists, professional drivers and motorbike riders.

Mr Morrison said TTC Group founders Graham and Jenny Wynn had led the company with a "passion" for road safety and enthusiasm for ensuring the best road safety advice was passed on to clients.

"I'm looking forward to continuing their vision of creating safer roads by educating all road users but also to diversifying and broadening the business across additional learning and development sectors such as criminal justice," he added.

"We educate 300,000 people each year and the numbers are growing across all aspects of road safety for motorists, professional drivers, adult and child cyclists and pedestrians."

Founding partner Jenny Wynn has stepped aside from the role of managing director, and will now join her husband as co-chairman of the organisation, which they founded in 1993. They have stepped down to dedicate more time to community and charity events.

Graham is spearheading economic regeneration in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Herefordshire as chairman of the Local Enterprise Partnership. Jenny is involved in the RAF Benevolent Fund, AFC Telford and is governor at New College, Telford.

She said: "Graham and I are delighted to announce that following a transparent and robust process Des Morrison has been appointed to the role of managing director for the TTC Group." said Mrs Wynn.
