Golden Cross Group has taken over at the Shell filling station in Holyhead Road, Ketley.

After being closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the station is now selling fuel again and the new owners are waiting for engineers to fix the new sign outside.

One of the group's directors, Stuart Giles, said: "We have taken on a new line of 10 staff and our main aim is to provide the best customer service at all times.

"We will be open 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year."

Mr Giles said the former Shell Select shop would be re-branded as a Spar and would sell more convenience items such as milk, bread and sandwiches.
