Barratt looks for investors for Shrewsbury show homes
Housebuilder Barratt is hoping to entice investors in Shrewsbury into buying one of its show homes, and leasing it back for the next 18 months.
The company is hoping to sell its show home at the Darwin's Walk development off Radbrook Road for £319,950 to an investor, and is promising a six per cent annual return on the investment.
An investor would receive an annual return of £19,197 on the Thornbury show home, the company said.
Lucy Turner, sales manager at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said; "We're delighted to make our Thornbury show home available to investors in Shrewsbury."
"It offers great value for anyone who is looking to invest in property with minimal risk – as you have a guaranteed tenant for the full duration of the lease.
"And rather than having to worry about untidy tenants, the investor knows that we will maintain the property in pristine condition. We will even guarantee the internal fixtures and fittings for a full five years, another added incentive that is proving an attractive draw for investors."
The show home, plot 36, features an open plan kitchen and dining area, and French Doors into the rear garden. It has three double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite, and a single bedroom.
