Care operator expands after RBS tie-up
A care home operator in south Shropshire has begun work on 14 new assisted living bungalows in its grounds after agreeing a new tie-up with its bank.
The Royal Bank of Scotland has established a refinancing facility with family-run Holy Cross Care Homes Ltd, and released working capital to allow it to complete the development in its grounds.
Bradeney House in Bridgnorth was established in 2006 to provide residential care to the elderly, those suffering with dementia, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and substance abuse.
Holy Cross Care Homes is now expanding this 101 bedroom residential care home to provide 14 two-bedroom properties within its seven acres of land. The development will complete in February 2016.
Director Les Jones said: "We are still very much a family run business with my wife, Jane, on hand each day as a care manager and my sister, Julia, taking care of the financial side of the business.
"We have considerable experience of running two reputable care homes in the Midlands and we are excited about making best use of the extensive grounds we are fortunate to have at
Bradeney House to create a high spec independent living environment. Thanks to our new banking partner, The Royal Bank of Scotland, we can achieve this."
Holy Cross bought its first care home in Shrewsbury, Holy Cross, in 2001. It provides 57 residential rooms.
It employs 200 people across the group and will create of another 12 jobs at Bradeney House to support the independent living development.
