A £1.55 million price tag has been attached to the site, which is at Old Station Yard, off Brownlow Road, and which has outline planning permission for a mixed residential development of 57 units.

The 6,800 square feet, grade II listed former station, is not part of the planning consent, but agents Halls Commercial say it is an "interesting" building with potential for conversion to eight residential apartments, subject to planning consent.

The level site is within walking distance of the centre of the town, which has a range of shopping, recreational and educational facilities.

"This is a superb development opportunity in one of the most sought after towns in Shropshire," said James Evans, manager of Halls Commercial's Shrewsbury office.

"Residential properties on this interesting and well situated development will certainly be in great demand."

Viewing is by appointment with Halls Commercial's Shrewsbury office on 01743 450700.
