Major revamp for Shrewsbury department store
Shrewsbury's historic House of Fraser department store is to undergo a major refurbishment.
House of Fraser, in High Street, which was known as Rackhams for years, is undergoing a full interior refit which will also see a new cafe open on the second floor.
The department store has had a presence in the town since 1975.
It will remain open during the work, which is due to be completed later this month.
Shop manager Heather Owen said: "House of Fraser is undergoing a major refurbishment and we're extremely excited about the changes we're making.
"As part of our vision to create a premium department store, in which Shrewsbury can be proud of, we're introducing new and exclusive brands, rejuvenated culinary experiences and a modern shopping retail environment."
