Poll: Should British aid be sent to China?

It's the world's second largest economy and has a space programme which has just landed a probe on the moon, so should British aid be sent to China?

The UK is said to have distributed £27.4 million to China last year.

The Government says it no longer gives aid to China directly, but via non-governmental partners working to achieve UK objectives such as tackling climate change and building sustainable economies.

Tory MP Peter Bone has called on International Development Secretary Justine Greening to explain why UK money is still going to China, which David Cameron visited this month as part of a UK trade mission.
