This spectacular image was taken by Stewart MacKellar, was walking home from work close to Shrewsbury's Kingsland Bridge.

The image shows floodlights from the nearby tennis courts illuminating a misty River Severn.

Mr MacKellar, who runs a graphic design and photography business, said: "I was just walking back to my car and everything just looked absolutely amazing.

"The light being broken up into sections across the river, and then the steam – you could see movement in the steam rising into the floodlit river.

"You could also see the reflections from the other side of the river that the light was hitting and everything just worked well together." While photography is part of his business, working with photographers and also doing some freelance work himself, it is also a passion of his.

The 26-year-old, who studied graphic design at Cardiff University and later took a 10-day photography course, said he only did minimal editing after the photograph was taken.
