Hit singers and groups will take to stage

Hit singers and groups from the 60s, 70s and 80s, a top male voice choir and a leading symphony orchestra will all be taking to the stage in Shropshire for a series of concerts.

Hit singers and groups from the 60s, 70s and 80s, a top male voice choir and a leading symphony orchestra will all be taking to the stage in Shropshire for a series of concerts.

Organisers New Dawn Events has lined up an eclectic mix of well-known names and tribute acts for the No More Rain series of events at the West Midland Showground.

Among the names performing will be Mari Wilson, who had six chart hits in the early 1980s, Fairport Convention, an English folk rock and later electric folk band formed in 1967, Pentangle, a folk band which performed as an original line-up in the 1960s and 1970s, and the National Symphony Orchestra and Rhos Male Voice Choir

The events will run from May 22 to 25 and will include Pink Floyd tribute act In The Flesh, Ledd Zepp and Killer Queen on the Friday evening. On the Saturday there will be performances by Talon, U2UK, Viva Santana, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, Logical Tramp and Abba Gold.

The proms night will be on the Sunday and will also feature performances by Teatro and Jonathan Ansell.

And on the Monday performers will include Pentangle, Mari Wilson and Fairport Convention, who will be joined by The Zombies, Space Ritual and Mostly Autumn.
