Flicks in the Sticks continues its season of films on the big screen at Bayston Hill Memorial Hall, near Shrewsbury, with a showing of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, this Saturday.
Ian Kerry, director of Flicks in the Sticks project, said the new venture delivering films to rural communities offers great value for money with tickets costing just £4 and no driving or parking to worry about.
He said: "The project uses the latest in digital technology to take films to local venues throughout Shropshire by working with local volunteer promoters who choose and promote the films to their community.
"Flicks in the Sticks is able to bring a huge range of big screen films, classics and blockbusters to communities keeping local halls active and communities meeting together.
"We are doing three pilot screenings in Bayston Hill to see if there is enough support for screenings, so I urge local people to come along and see the quality of the presentation.
"While the next film is a popular one, please be aware that it is an 18 certificate."
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is set in 1966, focussing on a young girl who disappears without a trace and her doting uncle who spends a lifetime trying to find out what happened to her.
