A former workhouse on the Shropshire border has unveiled its programme of activities for the next two months.

A former workhouse on the Shropshire border has unveiled its programme of activities for the next two months.

Volunteers at Llanfyllin Workhouse will host an open mic night on November 18 and 19 from 7pm.

On November 20, 21, 27, 28 and December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 the workhouse gallery will have arts and crafts for Christmas from 10am until 4pm.

The dinner club will take place on November 25 from 7.30pm. The event costs £15. Book on (01691) 649964.

On November 30 there will be a workshop called An Introduction to Family History from 11am until 2.30pm costing £5. Details on (01691) 649118.

Volunteers will hold a traditional fair with music On December 4 from 7.30pm for £10. Book by calling (01691) 649964.

A Christmas market will be held on December 5 from 10 am until 4pm and a Christmas cocktail party will be held from 8pm until 3am on December 11.

And new year celebrations will take place on December 31.
