An evening of great British roots music is on store at Shrewsbury's The Hive on November 21 with a trio of talents lining up to play.

Kris Drever, John McCusker and Donald Shaw will play in a concert jointly promoted by Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Shropshire Council and The Hive.

Kris' solo albums have received many accolades over the past few years, and his unique blend of progressive folk marks him out a unique contemporary artist who covers a wide range of songs both old and new.

Neil Pearson, spokesman for the gig, said: "This show is part of a small, unique tour featuring three of Scotland's finest folk musicians.

"Although all well know as musicians in their own right, all three have been at the forefront of the widerfolk scene for the last decade or so with Capercaillie, Kate Rusby, Lau and many many more."

Tickets, priced £12, are available from The Hive Box Office on (01743) 234970.

Forthcoming acts lined up to appear include Bella Hardy on December 12 and Jez Lowe on January 9.
