A Shropshire magician is preparing to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Paul Dabek, from Oswestry, will take his magic show to the arts showcase in August.
He has chosen the Oswestry Ironworks to debut his Fringe show with a performance tomorrow.
The show is called Truant Trickster celebrating his time when he was a young magician at Rhyn Park School, in St Martins.
He said: "I am excited and looking forward to the fringe festival in Edinburgh. It will be full of new, strong magic but also have a slightly autobiographical element of my time in school as a young magician. I describe it as Grange Hill meets Hogwarts."
Mr Dabek was named The Magic Circle's Young Magician of the Year in 2003 and he has also been awarded the International Brotherhood of Magicians' British Shield.
He has appeared on national television and taken the lead in several plays.
Mr Dabek said he had always enjoyed being a performer and hoped to have full audiences in Scotland. He said: "Ever since I started performing I have done shows out on the street.
"Even to this day I enjoy the thrill of building a crowd from scratch keeping them and entertaining them."
He performs in Edinburgh at the Voodoo Rooms, in 19a West Register Street from August 6 to 27.
