Progressive metal combo TesseracT are heading to the West Midlands for a one-off regional date to plug their recent debut album, One.

The band released the album to widespread acclaim in March and will be playing Birmingham's O2 Academy on October 10.

The band recently welcomed Elliot Coleman to their line-up as lead vocalist, after the singer impressed during his work with OMNOM, Sky Eats Airplane and Zelliack. He has replaced former vocalist Dan Tompkins.

TesseracT bassist, Amos Williams, said: "We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome someone special, Elliot Coleman. We're very excited about working with Elliot as we feel he has a great talent and personality, as well as a voice that transcends the norm and continues the TesseracT tradition of taking things to the next level."

The band list their musical heroes as Pink Floyd, The Doors, Faith No More, Jeff Buckley and Sigur Ros, among others.

Tickets are available at normal outlets.
