Fireworks finale thrills Ludlow festival-goers
A spectacular display of fireworks explode over the ancient Ludlow Castle – a fitting end to the town's nine-day arts festival.

The fireworks were set off last night following a finale concert at the castle featuring The Hollies and The Searchers.
It marked the end of the town's first arts festival, which rose like a phoenix from the ashes to replace the former Ludlow Festival which was axed last year due to financial problems.
Organisers of the festival – which has attracted acts like Jools Holland, Paul Merton and Reginald D. Hunter – are already looking forward to next year's event.
Chris Davis, director of the festival, said: "It has been a huge success."
