A touch of the 21st century at Blists Hill this weekend

The Victoria Cross – Blists Hill

Some of the UK's top cyclists will be visiting Blists Hill in Ironbridge this weekend. On Saturday visitors will be able to see some of the country's best cyclists taking part in some unusual and exciting challenges across the time. In between races, visitors will still be able to wander around the town and explore all the famous industrial landmarks. The event starts at 6pm and admission is £3 per person. Claverhall Family Day – Whitchurch

Get September off to the right start this weekend and Claverhall Family Day near Whitchurch. This year's main attraction is Savage Skills, one of the UK's leading stunt show teams, they've got eight world and over twenty-five British world titles! There will also be a large Country Market where visitors will be able to get their hands on some of the best local produce and craft. There will also be a Dog and Horse show with a small entry fee. The Electro-Swing Ball – Telford

This Saturday Telford Town Park will come alive with the sound of swing music. There will be non-stop performances ranging from burlesque dancers to circus performers. The dress code for the evening is 1920s-50s. Visitors are invited to come dressed up in their finest dancing clothes. Teddy Bear Picnic – Dorothy Clive Gardens

This Saturday the Teddy Bear Hospital will be visiting Dorothy Clive Gardens near Market Drayton. Children are invited to bring along their teddies for a checkup from one of the teddy doctors. There will also be a best dressed teddy competition, a teddy trail around the gardens, face painting, storytelling and a children's picnic with teddy shapes sandwiches and biscuits. Costume Display – Ludlow

This Sunday at Tracy's costuming world in Ludlow there will be replica film costumes on display. Packed with replica costumes from stage and screen there will be Belle's gown from Beauty and the Beast, Dorothy's red slippers from the Wizard of Oz and Jack Sparrow's pirate gear. T-party family fun day – Telford

This Saturday there will be a jam packed day at Telford Town Park. There will craft and art workshops, puppets, performances and street artists. Chill Out Picnic – Telford

Spend your Sunday chilling out in Telford Town Park. There will be a wide range of fantastic food to enjoy all day, including homemade cakes and biscuits, chilli cheese chips, homemade meat and much more! There will also be a wide range of food stalls with lots of yummy treats to take home, including a wide selection of cheeses and African-Caribbean food and sauces. Great British Walking – Attingham Park

Dust off your trainers this Sunday as there will be exclusive guided walks around the amazing Attingham Park near Shrewsbury. The walk is approximately two hours long and led by some of the parks wardens. The walk is not suitable for pushchairs or wheel chairs as it covers uneven terrain. Evening Scenic Special – Severn Valley Railway

This Saturday evening enjoy a scenic train ride starting and Kidderminster through to Bridgnorth and a return. Summer Fun Trail – Wroxeter Roman City

This weekend sees the last of the summer fun trails at Wroxetor Roman City near Shrewsbury. This will be the last chance to take part in the fun trail around the site where visitors can explore the grounds looking for clues and trying to solve the puzzle!
