David Essex to headline Ludlow Arts Festival concert

David Essex will headline the closing concert of Ludlow Arts Festival, it has been announced.

The singer and actor, famous for seventies hits such as Gonna Make U A Star, Hold Me Close and Rock On will be coming to Shropshire for the festival'??s biggest ever show in the grounds of Ludlow Castle on July 6.

He will be sharing the stage with returning rock '??n'?? rollers Showaddywaddy and Les McKeown of the seventies heart-throbs The Bay City Rollers.

The concert will be capped off with a fireworks display at the castle.

The concert line up has been added to other big names already booked for the festival. They will join comedian and Celebrity Big Brother winner Jim Davidson, veteran entertainer Ken Dodd, kids'?? favourite Sooty, wildlife expert Ray Mears, rock '?n' ??roller Marty Wilde and award-winning folk sensations Bellowhead.
