80s star Rick Astley signs up for Telford's T-Live festival
Eighties pop star Rick Astley is heading to Shropshire to headline a retro night of music as part of T-Live.
The singer, who shot to fame with the hit Never Gonna Give You Up, will be the main act at an Eighties-themed night to open the two-day festival in Telford this summer.
Lawson, Union J and Tich have already been unveiled as the main acts for the second day.
T-Live promoter The Liz Hobbs Group, which is organising the event on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council, announced Astley as the headliner for the 80s party night in the Town Park Arena on Friday, August 29.
Councillor Shaun Davies said: "We are truly proud to have an artist of Rick Astley's reputation and ability signed up to grace the stage at the second T-Live."
