Tigers players old and new were the stars of the show when local band Burn Down Rydell filmed the video for their single, Fight, on the ice.

The Wolverhampton-based alternative-rock band wanted to include ice hockey in the video for their single, which will be released next month.

Filming took place on Saturday and Sunday, with a number of Tigers players grabbing starring roles.

Club bosses have said they were delighted to offer the services of their players for the video, which will see them challenge band members to a showdown on the ice.

Wayne Scholes, owner of the Tigers, said: "I spent a long time directly involved in the music business, it's a business that Red Touch Media knows well, distributing music is a part of what we do.

"I've seen a lot of bands around the world, I liked these guys, they're good, so I wanted to help.

"The players and fans were great sports throughout filming and did whatever the band needed them to. It was lovely that they were all keen to help promote the Tigers, which is what this video will do.

"We want as many people as possible at our games next season. It is going to be a special time for the club, so we were delighted to get involved with Burn Down Rydell."

Tigers supporters were asked to be part of the crowd, with the video set to look like a hockey match.

The band are staying tight-lipped on the exact details of the video, but they are hoping it will lead to a record deal in the near future.

Drew Jones, from Burn Down Rydell, said: "It was a fantastic couple of days and I can't thank the people at Telford Ice Rink, Red Touch Media and the Tigers, enough for their help.

"We are all ice hockey fans and come to watch the games, so we thought, why not get the club involved?

"We want Fight to be a really big success. When that happens, the Tigers will part of the story.

"Everyone in the band is looking forward to releasing the video, and making Burn Down Rydell a major name in the music industry."
