Baby crocodiles snap up the attention at Telford Exotic Zoo

They say never smile at a crocodile - but it's easier said than done when faced with these two babies.

The reptiles are the latest recruits to be snapped up down at the Telford Exotic Zoo.

The Donnington venue, run by Scott Adams, 31, continues to add to its list of weird and wonderful animals.

A baby genet, named Samba, which looks like a cat but is in fact related to the mongoose family, began being hand-reared at the zoo in April.

The crocodiles have now joined the other exotic creatures at the zoo, which includes meerkats, an armadillo, monkeys, snakes, spiders and the more familiar farmyard animals pigs, goats and sheep.

Telford Exotic Zoo is an educational not-for-profit organisation.

Mr Adams said: "Our animals are put in display tanks and are available for people to interact with.

"All animals are set up with zoo-like information sheets so you can find out about the animals as they pass, as well as being able to chat to the zoo keepers."
