North Shropshire Model Show
People are expected to flock to a market town for a show which will see hundreds of models go on display.
The North Shropshire Model Show will be held in Ellesmere Market Hall, Scotland Street, on November 1.
Gary Stevens, organiser of the annual Shropshire Model Show held in April at the RAF Museum Cosford, has teamed up with David Saunders, chairman of the Ellesmere Model Railway Club, to organise the event. It is being held to raise money for the upkeep of the market hall building.
Various clubs will be exhibiting intricately detailed models, including aircraft, cars, bikes, trucks, Dr Who and Star War figures, and many other science fiction related items.

As well as radio controlled aircraft on display, there will be model railway layouts including one that children can operate. Visitors will also be able to build and paint a model to take home.
For those wishing to purchase models there will be traders selling items associated with the world of modelling, such as plastic kits in various sizes along with glues, paints and detail sets.
Spencer Pollard, editor of Model Airplane International, will be demonstrating modelling techniques throughout the day.
The show will run between 10am and 4pm and will also include a tombola, offering a wide range of star prizes.
Admission to the show is free, but a donation box will be in place to receive any contributions towards the market hall.
