Two years ago, the LADS put on Ladies Day, a feel-good tale of four lasses from a fish filleting plant whose six-horse accumulator left them half-a-million pounds better off. What did they do with all that cash?

Ladies Down Under, by Amanda Whittington, follows the lasses from Hull as they journey to the other side of the world for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. In the great land of Oz these four fearless ladies find there's more to life than money and fish factories, and as Pearl discovers, 'life is what happens when you are busy making other plans'.

The production will be at Llanymynech Village Hall from November 19 to 21 at 7.45pm each night. Tickets are £7 full price, £6 concessions available from Llanymynech Village Hall and shop, Mile End Tourist Information, Rowanthorn in Chapel Court, Oswestry, and The Herbarium in Oswestry, or phone (01691) 830558. Refreshments and a bar will be available.
