Sixty students from the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts Bridgnorth, aged from three to 18, performed Fairy Jail before a packed house of 250 people at the Edge Arts Centre Much Wenlock.

The show was written for the academy by student Phoebe Knowles and featured a host of much loved panto and film characters.

Director Ben Seager said: "We began rehearsals in September and the whole cast was amazing, bringing the words from the page to life in a bold and exciting way. We were able to use laser lights, smoke machines and strobe lighting effects to create a truly magical pantomime."

This production is one of several lined up for the students as 2015 draws to a close and the academy looks forward to 2016.
