Watch: That's a n-ice treat for Benji
There's not much snow to go around in Benji's native Borneo.
But in the midst of a Midlands winter, it is an occupational hazard.
Not that Bornean orangutan Benji is concerned. He just sees it as something new to play with and eat.
Dudley Zoo's upper primates section leader Pat Stevens, said: "It doesn't matter how hard the keepers try keeping the animals warm – some still want to go and play out in the cold.
"We've been giving the orangutans squash made up with hot water to warm them up, but they've been going outside and making up snowballs from the flurries on their climbing frame and taking it back inside to eat, which sort of defeats the object."
The zoo keeps a careful eye on animals during cold weather, bringing in extra heat lamps.
Ungulates section leader, Jay Haywood, said: "A lot of the indoor dens are heated and insulated. They're all kept at a constant temperature of around 22C."
