Visitors meet newborn lambs at North Shropshire College
Newborn lambs were the stars of the show at a college campus in Shropshire.
North Shropshire College opened up its Walford campus to visitors for its spring lambing day and more than 4,000 people turned out to the event.
Students were also raising funds for the R D Park Trust, the charitable trust originally founded in memory of Walford's first Principal, Don Park.
The R D Park Trust supports students at the college with their studies in terms of helping them meet the costs of travel and course-related study tours.
Students held a number of events such as guess the number of balloons in a tractor cab, treasure hunts and visitors were allowed to have a go on a coconut shy, tombola and take part in quizzes.
Chris Jones, director of Walford Campus, said: "It's gone really well.
"We've had some sunshine and about 4,500 people have come along.
"We've lambed over 400 ewes this season. The zoo area was open, cows were being milked, the students were raising money through various little projects.
"There were lots of events. They had face painting, a tombola, quizzes, treasure hunts and a coconut shy. It was a very enjoyable day. We would like to thank Corbet School because we used their car park as an overflow car park." There was a park and tractor or trailer ride to yesterday's event from the school.
Many of the popular attractions from last year made a welcome return, including Whitchurch dog display team, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service and NSC's robot milking display.
