The new room was officially unveiled at Jungleland in Trench Lock last week.

Manager Mikey Johnson said the Butterfly baby sensory room had been designed specifically for babies under two years and children with special needs.

He said: "The brightly coloured sensory equipment includes a giant interactive bubble tube, fibre optics, a glow wall and infinity panels.

"It provides a stunning visual experience, designed to develop children's senses through interactive sensory stimulation in a beautiful, relaxing, calming atmosphere with sounds of the rainforest."

Admission to the new sensory zone is £1.99, and it is also available for private hire.

The attraction has expanded significantly in recent years.

It has a giant jungle-themed soft play area with zones suitable for children up to the age of 12.

There are slides, rollers, swings and ball pits galore, while visitors also get a free ride on the Jungleland express train as part of the admission.

There are also laser gun games in space-themed Lazerland, nine holes of crazy golf in Safariland and Alien Strike ten pin bowling.

All carry an extra charge.
