Button and Bear is a family-run business by Louise and Jon Chadwick and their four daughters, Emma, Becky, Lucy and Ellie.

They also employ four part-time staff.

The shop opened on Castle Street last month wth a special appearance from the Gruffalo.

The bookshop has a feeding area for mothers and babies, a baby changing area and a small activities area for parents and children.

Downstairs there is a woodland themed room for story times and special events.

"It's a complete change of pace to my previous work, but I love it," said Louise. "The challenge of something new is great and our shop is in a great location with a lot of footfall.

"For the business to be successful, we must get people to want to come into the bookshop."

A series of events are planned at the shop such as their regular Rhymes in the Woodland free event.
