Musicians and artists to take centre stage at Drayton Arts Fest
The third arts festival of its kind is set to attract hundreds of people to events from photography exhibitions to dance shows.
The Drayton Arts Fest will once again take centre stage in Market Drayton with musicians and artists taking the spotlight.
The event, organised by the Market Drayton Community Partnership, will run from October 28 to October 30 and follows successful events in the previous two years.
Richard Priestley, one of the event organisers, said: "We have a wide range of events which we are confident will provide something of interest for everyone.
"It is particularly good to welcome back our resident photographers – 10stop photography – who will be out and about to capture lots of great moments.
"Our aim is to showcase both Drayton-based talent in the arts and to present artists and events from further afield; otherwise there might not be the chance to see them in Market Drayton."
On October 28 events will include photographic exhibitions, storytelling and martial arts demonstration.
During the following two days events will include poetry trails, country dancing, live music, craft fair and fashion show.
"There will be a wide range of performances including theatre, art, photography, cooking, poetry and readings, exhibitions, dance and all kinds of music, a range of events for children and a variety of workshops," Mr Priestley said.
"We want people to come and visit the festival, join in with the performances, and help us widen its appeal so that this year's festival will be the best to date."
Most of the events are free of charge but there will be a small number which will cost to take part in.
