A Tale of Two Cities - The Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton

Dickens considered his novel, A Tale Of Two Cities the best story he had ever written. Interweaving one family's intensely personal drama with the terror and chaos of the French Revolution, it is an epic story of love, sacrifice and redemption amidst horrific violence and world changing events.

The Exorcist - Birmingham REP

The 1973 horror film

Inspired by true events, the two time Oscar-winning film version of this story has terrified generations the world over since its release in 1973. Now this brand new stage production of The Exorcist is unleashed for the very first time in a uniquely theatrical experience.

This production contains adult material which may shock and offend. Age guidance 18+. Strictly no latecomers will be admitted.

Bad Company - Genting Arena, Birmingham

Original Bad Company members Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke will return to the UK for their first tour in four years with their 'Swan Song' tour.

The band is best known for hits including Feel Like Makin' Love and Bad Company.

They will be joined by Richie Sambora - the lead guitarist of Bon Jovi for 30 years - and Orianthi - who has performed alongside Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper.

Motown's Greatest Hits - Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury

This show will have Motown fans 'Dancing On The Ceiling', with songs from artists such as Lionel Richie, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Jackson Five, The Isley Brothers, Edwin Starr and many, many more.

Heaven 17 - Birmingham Town Hall

Heaven 17 celebrate the 35th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Penthouse and Pavement, by playing the album in full. They are joined on the night by British Electric Foundation, taking part in their first ever tour, playing a very special set featuring tunes from across their back catalogue.

Fireworks spectacular - King George V Memorial Playing Fields, Bloxwich

The first of four firework spectaculars planned for Walsall kicks off this weekend.

Gates open at 6pm and entry is £4 for adults, £1 for children and free for under-fives. Car parking is £1.

The Manfreds, PP Arnold and Zoot Money - Birmingham Town Hall

Appearing together in this unique concert will be The Manfreds, featuring both of the band's vocalists Paul Jones and Mike D'Abo, soul pioneer PP Arnold and one of the biggest characters of the 60s R'n'B scene Zoot Money.

PP Arnold is best known for hits such as First Cut Is The Deepest and Angel Of The Morning.

Ellen Kent: La Boheme - New Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham

Pictures from the Grand Theatre, in Wolverhampton, where pupils from East Park Primary School were rehearsing to perform

La Boheme tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. The set reflects the Bohemian art of the period and will include, a local brass band, snow effects and Muzetta's dog will also make an entrance.
