Blists Hill Victorian Town will host Halloween activities with its Victorian ghost story trail, taking place from Saturday until October 30.

Families can follow the trail around the historic streets and discover how famous authors of the time, including Charles Dickens, wrote popular works about spirits, ghosts and fog-shrouded graves.

Each afternoon during the half-term break the Prince Albert Players will be performing spooky scenes from Sweeney Todd, along with Shropshire ghost stories. There will also be a Halloween 'fright night' at the venue on October 29.

It is expected to take on a new dimension with the arrival of cult characters from the Ghostbusters 1980's movie, including a 31ft high inflatable Marshmallow Man.

There will also be a replica of the iconic Ghostbusters' Miller Meteor Cadillac car.

The streets, shops and houses will also be transformed into eerie places filled with ghosts, ghouls and monsters.

It takes place between 6pm and 9pm.

Tickets cost £9.95 for adults; £6.75 for children aged between three and 15 and £31 for a family of four. Youngsters can make scary Halloween monsters at Enginuity during the half-term holidays.

The drop-in workshops are taking place from tomorrow until October 30, from 10.30am to 3.45pm.

The Coalport China Museum will be hosting Halloween ceramic workshops during the same week.

Visitors can paint a ceramic money box or join in paper activities every day.

Between Tuesday and Thursday, there will be the chance to sculpt a creepy creature from air-dry clay.

The hands-on workshops will be open from 11am to 1pm, and 2pm to 4.30pm.

Ceramic activities carry an additional charge from £1 per item for clay models, or £4 to paint a money box. Items can be taken home on the day.

Spooky Halloween themed tile decorating workshops will be at Jackfield Tile Museum, Ironbridge, tomorrow and from Monday to Saturday next week.

The Victorian tube lining technique will be used to decorate the tiles, which are priced from £5 per tile, plus the museum admission fee.

The drop-in workshops begin at 10am.
