A host of charities will have free stalls at the event being hosted by Alan Ward at its furniture store in Ennerdale Road on December 3 and 4 from 10am to 4pm.

Shoppers will be entertained by a range of musicians, singers and a juggler on a unicycle. Store manager Andrea Cutler said the company was pleased with the response from charities and performers eager to attend the event which is being held for the first time.

She said: "It's a sell-out in terms of the charity stalls and we are delighted to have so many agree to follow up our invitation and come along – hopefully each and every stallholder will raise a lot of money for their charities. Every charity will be selling something or offering an activity including Christmas tree decoration making, festive helium balloons and porcelain plate and cup decorating for children."

Children from St Mary's Primary School in Shawbury will be singing and entertaining the crowds with their ukulele band and pupils from Oakmeadow Primary School in Bayston Hill will also be singing, along with the Beaumaris Singers of Newport.
