Myles Petford, aged 21, moved to London to study film directing and then founded his own production company called Lexicon Films.

A production team of 20 will be filming "Cole" at the end of the month around Bridgnorth, including a BAFTA nominated actress Anne Reid.

Myles has set up a 'kickstarter' web page to raise the cash he needs and he is offering donors a few perks. If £15 is donated, the perk is a seat at the film's premiere in a London IMAX cinema, while a £20 donation earns a signed poster.

The film is based on a true story of a sexual assault and the mental and physical effects.

Mr Petford said: "Cole tells the story of Daisy Cole. Daisy is a 26-year-old devoted fiancee to Jason, 28. The couple have committed to four joyful years together and are now expecting their first child.

"As an outcome of the pregnancy, Daisy is left to resume her days at home, whilst Jason is out working hard to keep them financially secure.

"Daisy is an outgoing girl, always keeping herself busy. Though as time passes, the days get longer and kept at home with nothing to do, it starts to test her sanity.

"One crisp spring morning, Jason surprises Daisy with a project he feels will suppress her boredom. An old beaten down caravan, something to get her teeth into and hopefully somewhere they can spend their holidays when the baby is born.

Yet the quietness of the countryside is not all appealing and can become a swallowing barrier for sound, a consummate setting for a savage attack and one in which Daisy suffers a brutal ordeal, in turn causing her to loose the child and soon after Jason. Cole is tremendous story of love, pain and revenge.

"Our aim is to raise awareness, and the devastation, of sexual assault to a new generation of youths. Our promotional video for the film, that we have loaded on Facebook, has got more than 30,000 views."

The company has secured a premiere showing for the short film at the Odeon IMAX in Wimbledon, London as Odeon works with the charity Mind and all money raised from the tickets sold will go to the charity.

Mr Petford added: "We are also hoping to arrange for a screening at the Majestic Cinema, Bridgnorth.

"We are in the process of arranging a competition, and for the lucky winner to have a day on set with us learning about cameras, lights and sound."

The production team will be heading into local schools in the coming weeks.
