Shrewsbury teacher stars in music video to help local songwriters
Head of music and drama at Meole Brace Secondary School Emily Floyd has lent her musical talents to help local songwriters John Cubbin and Richard Love.
She sings lead vocals and plays trumpet on their song Lonely Lover.

She also appears as lead vocalist on their promotional video for the song filmed by Bayston Hill based Micro Video at Concord College.
Emily is head of music and drama at Meole Brace Secondary School. She sang lead vocals and played keyboards, sax, trumpet and violin in John's previous band The Dress Down Fridays so was an obvious choice for this project.
Emily is also a talented actress and has appeared in many shows at the Theatre Severn including Hairspray which is showing from the 15th to the 18th March.
Songwriters John and Richard have around 300 songs recorded over a seven year period and have had several of their songs performed by different artists. Their recordings are currently being played by UK radio stations and ones in California, Greece and Holland.
They decided to produce a video of the song and hired Micro Video from Bayston Hill to film the band at Concord College.
