Tobias Phipps, from Low Town, in Bridgnorth, became a professional DJ from the age of 19, playing under the name of Kam-Pain. But he has been seeking a different type of thrill these days and has written a horror book, called Disturbia in the UK. The 36 year old said: "I had a successful career in dance music throughout my younger years but with age comes change.

"I've been writing for about six years. The book is a mix of horror stories with a sprinkling of dark humour. That genre is what I enjoy reading the most, all my stories are driven by the plot."

Tobias's favourite author Eden Hudson, an award-winning horror author from America, reviewed his book and gave it five stars.

He said: "She wrote an amazing review about it. She likened it to early Stephen King and Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected. That felt amazing when I read her review, it really made my day.

"The stories come to me in the strangest of ways, sometimes when I'm driving along and listening to my satnav.

"I have no agent, no degree in literature, but have crafted this book entirely myself, including the artwork.

"I've always believed in following your dreams. At the moment I work in a factory in Bridgnorth, but I'm hoping the book will take off and I can write full-time, that would be the dream."
