Hoo Farm's opening race of the season saw Jack the Lad race to first place, beating previous champion Bilbo Baggins. Will Dorrell, partner at the farm, said that it had been a great day, despite the risks of rain. "Luckily the bad weather held off and people were brave enough to come out," he said.
Will said that sheep racing remained one of the most popular events at the farm.
